An extension of The Envelope is [envelope]. A "Pop-Up" space made from Tyvek (a recyclable High Density Polyethelene (HDPE) material containing a 25% recycled HDPE content) over a fold down support system. It’s light and portable. This idea was developed for the Melbourne International Design Festival 17-27 July 2008. [envelope] enclosed inspiring garments and accessories by MüCKE and provided a space for people to learn to hand stitch and create their own envelope. The workshops and runway show took place in Howey Place, Melbourne, near Switchboard Café. [envelope] aims to capture cultural snapshots of communities by creating a social setting for participants in the workshops to have conversations about sustainable fashions.
